Applying for college is an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming for both students and parents. There are deadlines, essays, and big decisions involved. As a parent, I wasn't entirely sure where to start but wanted to ensure that our daughter explored every opportunity available to her.

I was introduced to Allyson, and I can't begin to express how grateful I am to have found her. From our first meeting, I knew Allyson was the silver lining we needed to make this experience the best it could be. Her friendly, welcoming, and calming demeanor made an immediate connection with our daughter (and me!). She set expectations with our daughter right away and created a timeline for the upcoming months. This immediately relieved the pressure and shifted the mood from anxious uncertainty to excitement about having a doable game plan in place.

I admire Allyson's organizational skills; she really knows what she's doing. It was refreshing to experience laughter and excitement instead of the frustration we would have faced had we navigated the process on our own.

Allyson offered suggestions, listened to what my daughter was looking for, and gave her the confidence and tools she needed to accomplish her tasks. She also helped our daughter to communicate effectively with her school counselor and resolve issues with her application materials. Our daughter works hard and takes pride in her schoolwork, and Allyson showed her how to translate that hard work onto paper and showcase her best characteristics.

I can proudly say that our daughter was accepted to many amazing 'reach' schools and has recently committed to a school that wasn't originally on our radar but is a perfect fit. Words cannot express how grateful we are for Allyson!

With Allyson's guidance, I learned how to work towards success. I also learned how to value my thoughts and experiences enough to express them confidently in my college essays. Allyson's belief in me helped me more than anything else in the college process.

Allyson made applying to college so much easier for me. She broke down my essay into smaller, manageable steps, helped me brainstorm ideas, and guided me to choose a topic that was both meaningful to me and interesting for college admissions. Her feedback encouraged me to improve areas that were lacking, and she supported me every step of the way. The whole process, from writing my essay to completing the Common App, felt so much less stressful thanks to her. She's not just a great tutor—she's fun, kind, and really cares about her students. Her SAT prep sessions were also a game-changer, especially for my English score. She showed me exactly what to look for in passages and how to answer different types of questions. I’m so grateful for her help, and I couldn’t be happier with where I ended up for college!

I cannot express how grateful I am for Allyson's help during the college process. She helped me to create a list of good "fits" and eventually get into my dream school. She is amazing!

Both of my sons worked with Allyson to complete their college essays.  She met with each of them for multiple sessions, first helping them to choose an appropriate topic and then providing guidance with completion and editing.  My boys found her easy to work with and I appreciated her communication with me.  Best of all, I did not have to nag them to get it done. I am happy to report that each of them received several acceptances to excellent colleges. I highly recommend Allyson's tutoring services.

Allyson helped guide my son, a reluctant writer and student with ADHD, through brainstorming and writing his college essay the summer before his senior year. Allyson did an amazing job of keeping him on task. Having the essay already written prior to the start of school was wonderful as it meant one less thing to worry about during his busy final year of high school.

Allyson has worked with all four of our daughters over the last 10 years in helping them prepare and plan for the college application process. They are unique in their academic strengths and weaknesses. Allyson custom tailored their college preparation experience based on their individual qualities.  She is  organized, relatable, and creative in her ideas. She challenged our daughters to reach beyond their comfort zone.  Allyson goes above and beyond the typical college planner's approach. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is getting ready to apply to college.

Our daughter is a very motivated student-athlete. She has a tendency to put too much pressure on herself at times. We really relied on Allyson's calm, steady guidance through what can be a turbulent and challenging process. We cannot thank Allyson enough.

Allyson was a wonderful support to our whole family and a role model for our daughter.

Allyson went above and beyond with her communication. She kept our family alerted to next steps with fresh, insightful updates. Informing students of realistic admissions odds is never an easy job, but Allyson wrapped it up in encouragement, respect, and enthusiastic hopefulness.

Allyson has worked with three of my four children and I cannot wait to have her work with my fourth this summer. She was invaluable with SAT prep and college essay writing for all three of my boys. My second child is dyslexic, and Allyson helped us to advocate for the appropriate support services that he needed in high school and college. She is professional and knowledgeable. My kids never complained about going to their essay sessions! All three of them were ultimately successful in their application process. Thank you, Allyson: your services and help have been priceless!

Allyson's enthusiasm for learning is infectious. Our daughter can be shy, but she has developed such a positive relationship with Allyson. She truly enjoys going to the sessions. I don't know what we would do without Allyson!

Allyson made a stressful process seem (almost) effortless. I greatly appreciate the advice that she gave me during my junior and senior year. She patiently talked me through so many life decisions.
